In the creation process of the Final Fridays @ 5 music video series, Brendan Frank and J. Golko of Action Heights are able to develop their relaxed, swing-infused style by paying homage to the retro and modern sounds of over a century's worth of popular music.
A typical FF@5 session involves the spirit of live performance by recording entire takes of three to four songs, captured by multiple cameras.
After a few months of dialing in the format and procedure, the sound of Action Heights has leveled up in large strides - particularly the complimentary tones and timbres of Brendan's acoustic and electric guitars with J. Golko's dynamic selection of woodwinds.

Meet The Band: Staying Active and Setting a Higher Bar
A friendship enduring over thirty years with dedicated passions for music, guitarist Brendan Frank and multi-instrumentalist J. Golko have taken their live cocktail music act, Action Heights, into the virtual world in a series of independently produced music videos.
Their latest project, Final Fridays @ 5, began as a segment in a fundraising event for the band program of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights (the city from which the moniker "Action Heights" derives).
Each month, the duo has recorded, mixed, and edited videos of tunes from their regular live set as well as expanded on orchestrations beyond their usual performance.
